I am afraid that with Éléonore my risk is to make her too erudite, as I always tend to do with my female characters (guess it depends from my own familiar background). Yes, you definitely made a good point speaking about duality, as it is one of the feature more disregarded in fictitious portrait of Éléonore. I am convinced that the relationship between Robespierre and Éléonore was also (or mainly - this point is not yet very clear to me) about intellectual affinities and politics. I can't picture a setting such as `Robespierre's circle' as a net of relationships without intellectual involvement of some kind, as I do believe that strong tides always involve some kind of intellectual exchange.
I will definitely try to translate and post something, although it will take a bit of time: so don't worry about being too busy to reply. We both know that academic life gets very busy at times.
