It's seriously kind of upsetting--you see her do the same thing with Augustin in the next chapter. You're really not supposed to be that jealous of your brothers' girlfriends. It's not normal.

It's not bad, necessarily--although he apparently had a mistress at the time, so that would have been interesting...
