I'm sorry, I don't think I quite understand you. Do you mean you don't think Charlotte's memoirs are authentic, or that you think the letter isn't? If the latter, Charlotte does mention that the letter had been tampered with, but certainly not that it was addressed to Maximilien. Quite the opposite, actually.
