Live free or die!

So, I'm in AP Art History, and since our exam's done we've mostly been doing fun stuff in class. Next week we're going to be screenprinting designs onto some shirts, largely in black and white. My teacher asked us to prepare a design with a political message and my mind immediately jumped to
Vivre Libre Ou Mourir

His eyes are a bit funky and I'd like to add some more detail to the clothes, but I've got till Monday to turn it in, and overall I'm really pleased. I thought you all might enjoy this! I actually don't know a whole lot about Desmoulins, but I knew he was big on 'vivre libre ou mourir' and such and besides, I love that portrait--not sure why. Anyway, if any of you are graphic design aficionados, any suggestions?

I'm thinking of adding a quote or something to the back of the shirt but I'm not sure what to choose, and it's proving mildly difficult to find any... well, coherent quotes in English from this guy. Hahaha...

Anyway, I might also do a series of these with other revolutionaries. Robespierre would probably come next, as I like him best, and then maybe Marat, but who knows. Fabre might be nice, and Saint-Just.

(The design was kind of inspired by the art of Beardsley, by the way, if anyone's keen on art nouveau!)
