Hm - I saw some in Montréal, and some in a travelling exhibition that came to Boston - I can't remember if I've seen it elsewhere - but actually (I was surprised), it was a sort of blondish colour (pretty, I have to say), like in his earlier portraits. Which I wouldn't think would act so differently from Robespierre's...?
