Because since, if all goes according to plan, I'm going to be spending the year after next in Paris as well, and it would be great to be able to see some of that stuff. (Of course, since I'll be officially studying history there, they might tell me in any case, but it's nice to know in advance...)
Interestingly, the only letter mentioned in Robespierre's correspondance from Mme Duplessis seems to be the one you're referring to, though all it says on the matter is:
