Haha, I had a rather interesting one recently. Someone said something to the effect of, "Oh yeah! Robespierre! I remember! Wasn't he like, killed by this one guy who then took over France?" And I stared at him for a moment, trying to work out the best construction possible (wondering if he meant Bonaparte), but all that came out was, "...no?" And his face just crumbled. I felt bad. But it was kind of funny.

Interesting, I've never been accused of Nazi apology before. People just tend to be weirdly condescending. Like, "Yes, sure, Robespierre was a great guy, mm-hmm, you little communist you..." which is quite obnoxious and makes me want to step on their toes and run away (but I don't, because that's not a good way to resolve differences! XD).
