I say werd to this. My beef with the movie is not so much fact vs fiction as it is with how Coppola directed the movie. The revolution part came up too suddenly and didn't make any sense. At the end, everyone in the movie theatre was "WTF?! That's it?" I had to explain to my mom what happened. I think Coppola assumed everyone already knew the history. I mean, not everyone knows what the Bastille is. IMHO, she should have written the script so that it ended before the fall of the Bastille and stayed focused on Marie's Versaille/Petit Trianon life. Or, it should have followed her straight to the end.
