I've never claimed that people responsible for Terror, dictators and people using violence to control society (I do not say they were all the same, I simplify!) tended to spend their free time laughing madly in empty houses, were unable to truly love their children or like them in general, as well as admire nature or have feelings for animals.
Of course it was a common responsibility, I think no-one denies it nowadays. Later Robespierre became a scapegoat.
