When they touch reality? They get unbearable. Because they apply this very extreme cynical perspective they seem to share to deconstruction fiction to also deconstruct reality -- the question is: is that really necessary? In some cases, they really walk on the thin line with the Risk Of (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/RapeIsLove) Falling Into (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/RapeIsASpecialKindOfEvil) Downright Disgusting (http://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/Main/Ptitle4zfvfjq8). Obviously, that risk reaches the highest level under the "Real Life" categories (although sometimes, with their ultra-cynical summaries beginning each article....)
