Do people like the female characters in this? Hm... I suppose it might be a bit easier for people to like Lucile than, say, Élisabeth, but they're all pretty dismal portrayals.
Oh, I'm sure the food helped too. If the accounts I've read are correct, he probably wouldn't have remembered to feed himself very often when he lived on his own.
I hadn't thought of it that way. But I suppose the characterizations that make Robespierre literally green and fanged are probably the most harmless on the spectrum of demonization, since I would hope nobody is dense enough to actually believe anything a source that ridiculous would have to say.
