While not doing my homework last night, I ran across a youtube knock off site where a couple people had very nicely uploaded clips from the French version of La Révolution Française. Since that movie can be ridiculously hard to get a hold of, I made a playlist of them to gather them all together and arrange them in order. Enjoy some clips!

I'm pretty sure the French version exists on DVD (I think?). I think you can buy it online from some Canadian websites. However, I think it's expensive and still pretty hard to find.

Thank you very much. :) Me and my friend were talking about this movie for so long... We have never seen it. It's almost impossible to find it anywhere. Now, I am really grateful, that I can finally watch it. Thank you. <3

*streches* I have a copy on DVD, but it's not too legit, haha, I'm such a Marat-ist! I'm quite sure you can get it on VHS though, but I don't know how unfortunally, most of the people I spoke with taped it off the TV

What're your thoughts on how Marat is portrayed in LRF?

Hmm, I'm not in the mood to rewatch it so I'm working by memory, but personally, they made the classic mistake of mixting up Jean-Paul Marat and the People's Friend (L'ami du peuple) so, he was rather bloodthirsty at times, but then again, at some moments, you saw signs of the ACTUAL Marat. So, I'm kinda - okay with it. It's not THAT bad (I've seen MUCH worst) but it's still bad.

They DO win LOTS Of points for not only INCLUDING Simonne, but having her named, the thing is they, they then proceed to wreck her. But my opinion on him in this? Meh.

The English or French? Cause I got the English VHS from her back in the day that was a copy of a copy of a copy of a copy... But it might be worth it to update it to DVD now if that's what she's doing.
