MARAT MONDAYS?!
BUT, let's shove that aside and get to the point, shall we? Basically, studying Marat is NOT an easy feat, because first you have to developpe the hability to tell what's garbage and what isn't in the books - NOT easy.
BUT, since I know first hand how finding information on Marat is hard, and since I got my grummy paws on my Marat folder when I recently went home, I want to offer you guys this ;
Do any you have any particular questions on Marat? Ask away! I will back up with what I answer with citations and such~
BUT, I before hand, I will leave you with this little gem of a story from Marat himself from his childhood! :D
I never pouted; I wasn't obstinate; I didn't play the usual children's games. I was diligent and easy-going. My teachers could get me to do anything they wanted just by being kind to me. I was was only punished once, and my resentement at being unjustly humiliated was so overpowering that I refused to return to that teacher again. I went on a hunger strike for two days. I was eleven years old then, and as you see, I had already become very strong-willed. Since my parents couldn't make me give in, they felt that I was challenging their authority, so I was confined to a locked room. Boiling over with indignation, I managed to get a window open and jumped down to the street. Fortunately, the window wasn't very high, but it was still high enough that I was rather severely wounded in the fall. I still have a scar on my forehead from that mishap. Those frivolous fellows who now reproach me for being headstrong will see that I got that way at an early age.
This snipet was taken from Dr.Connor's book Jean-Paul Marat :D (p.10)
