I just wanted to point out...

...That today is the (252nd) birthday of Prieur de la Marne, one of the few Robespierristes (especially on so high a level of prominence--Prieur de la Marne, as you will recall, was one of the two Prieurs of the Committee of Public Safety) to survive Thermidor, and indeed the Revolution. And this without ever having to renounce his principles! (He was on mission when Thermidor came, and then retired from political life after being imprisoned for siding with the insurrectionaries in Prairial Year III.)

So, joyeux anniversaire Prieur!

Yay, joyeux anniversaire, Prieur! :D (Well, technically, it was yesterday, since it's already past midnight, but still...)

Joyeux anniversaire, Prieur :)

Robespierre, Saint-Just, Marat, Desmoulins - yes, there is always a chance to talk about them. But oh, it should be opened at least a thread about less known (and loved) revolutionaries actually... if nobody does it I'll get myself to do it sooner or later !
