I've actually only been accused of being a Nazi apologist once; usually, it's more like, people accusing me of accusing the Bloodthirsty Dictator (TM) they're convinced Robespierre was, which to them is about equivalent to being a Nazi apologist. After all, who is the world's most famous bloodthirsty dictator if not Hitler? So it's usually more indirect, but it amounts to the same thing. Strangely enough, I've never had anyone refer to me as a communist for defending Robespierre. (Though I have for other reasons. >.>)
