 Salut et fraternité citoyens,

So I was telling someone about some illustration of Robespierre I'd seen in which he's a vampire...but now I can't find it anywhere! From what I remember, it's Robespierre with fangs in front of a guillotine (or maybe several guillotines), probably some 19th c. British portrayal. I thought I'd even seen it on this community, but I can't seem to find it as I peruse the archives. In any case, I'm sure one of you has seen it and can direct me to the source.

Are you thinking of the recent magazine cover (and I have now completely forgotten which magazine) which was a cartoon of the anon portrait of Robespierre from the carnavalet with bloody vampire teeth drawn in and I think the strapline "Robespierre the man who invented terror"?

I think you're thinking of the "National Review" cover from the Bicentennial - I'm not sure if that's the one the original poster means or not though.

Thank you. That's what I was mithering on about. It wasn't the best of descriptions and I got the base drawing wrong.
