Hey! :D

As your esteemed bloodthirsty dictator moderator, I would like to kick things off here with a welcome and a few suggestions.

WHAT UP. Huzzah, hurrah and even hurrooh, a French Revolution community finally exists. Let's have a blast~

As far as suggestions, well, actually, I've only got two...

~Would anyone be up for creating a reference post? What I mean is, a list of movies, books, websites, and other things that concern the French Revolution. I don't think my knowledge is quite extensive enough (In other words: I BE A N00B). But if anyone else's is...yeah.

~What if we had, like, a quarterly icontest? Or a fiction or art conest? Would anyone actually contribute? (Of course, maybe I should wait until there's more members to ask this. XD)

Does anyone else have any other ideas?

I definitely would love to chip in to a reference list thingummy, though I haven't read thoroughly enough to do a decent job of it on my own. I do sort of have possibly the world's most insanely long list of websites with even the vaguest relation to the revolution. Um. If that would be helpful? XD

As for the second -- ohh, I really want to write rev fic, and maybe a challenge would even make me, but... blah, can't write anymore apparently. Maybe I'd try, and anyway I would LOVE to read anything anyone else writes. And see anyone else's art. Icons I can (sort of) do!

...Also. Danton picspamming a rating comm? That would be excellent.

Yes, it definitely would! Like I said above, perhaps we should have someone make the post, and then have everyone put all the things they know of in the comments, to be added to the post.

Ooooh, dooo iiit! :D I'd like to read it. Personally, I think I'm slightly too neurotic about getting every!single!detail!right to do much historical writing. XD;

Wouldn't it, though?~ I wish someone would try to advertise here right now, just because I so want an excuse to do that.
