Yeah! Happy birthday to the greatest man..alive dead i mean xd He's 251 this year! Hope he's having a party in the afterlife. No doubt he's being driven crazy by Camille and Saint-Just xd and May EVERYONE PARTY! :) (well according to my time; it is the 6th..-_-)

251! Quite a number. A (watered-down) toast to that!

I've got this vision in which the afterlife is organised sort of like Wikipedia and everyone is locked in a room (Huis Clos-style) with a handful of earthwise unrelated people filed in the same category, e.g. 'May 6 births' (... a category that doesn't actually exist). In this particular room Maxime has locked himself in the fridge after hearing that his fellow May-6-er, Andreas Baader, is not merely the most insufferable brute this side of ... well, the land of insufferable brutes, but also insists on being referred to as a revolutionary. Sigmund Freud and Orson Welles are watching the confrontation with great interest, each taking their own brand of notes, and eagerly looking forward to being joined by Tony Blair and a man named Sextoy Dave.

I popped over to Chez Duplay yesterday for this... They're actually doing some construction on the front of the building, so the plaque is gone. Oh well. Happy birthday anyway, Maxime.

As far as I know, they are restoring the front of the building , Livviebway. Dominique Rondelot and Daniel Somogyi, who belongs to a Robespierrist historical society (please, check out www.rondelot.com ...they have a great site in French language) wrote that the owners assured them that as soon as they've finished with the reforms, the plaque will be there again.

Dominique Rondelot is always taking care of this plaque, since he and his society were the ones who makes municipal governement to put it there... :D Good for him! The Supreme Being bless them!
