Blame them both, at least Gaiman should have tried harder :-) BTW, I love M.Steel, he's trying so hard to change the stereotypic view of the FR using very British weapons. I feel so lucky that I grew up on Rolland and Feuchtwanger and I haven't been obliged to get through the Tale of Two Cities or Scarlet Pimpernel ;-)
