We got em! In answer to the previous post (sorry, I don't seem able to stick a picture into a post on that discussion thread), here's a panel from the French comic 'Requiem Chevalier Vampire' Tome 1. Guess who's a vampire in vampire world! Yeah, you guessed right.

As far as I know, it's just this one panel, though I haven't read the rest of the comics/BDs yet

This does not seem like anti-establishment to me ;-) Making a vampire (Lucifer, Sea-Green monster, pussyfooting tyrant) out of Robespierre is a long tradition of British mainstream culture, isn't it?
Moreover, someone who'd like the Enragés would hardly reproach him his "revolutionary zeal" ;-)

Then, what a pity...I thought the left to right drift has begun to cease, but it seems endless ;-)

I cannot stop asking myself why do people who love Sade the maid-killer, hate the revolutionary justice so much? ;-)

uhuhuh...that's creepy allegoric pornography. Poor Saint-Just, he is attributed the creepiest quotes ever. Though as far as I know, Mirabeau's one is supposed to be: "Une nation ne se regénère que sur des monceaux de cadavres." Which is rather different, though, with Mirabeau and the Thermidorians (it appears in the Thermidorian play maelicia has found, said by "a friend of St.Just"), one never knows.

I just can't convince myself to see the fun of it...;-)
Anyway, being vampires so erotic and fashionable, I'd suggest a series of "Jacobin Vampire Club, drinking your blood since 1789". A non-aristo and very virtuous version, though.

They could feed off animals and sparkle too. ...the sparkles would make it look like Rose of Versailles, but whatever.

It's a very tragic dilemma, because if they feed off aristos, it still sounds like royalist/thermidorian propaganda. Not to say that it wouldn't be very erotic -- for me, anyway.

:DDD Poor boys, they really don't deserve this...
It's a dilemma. I would not oblige them to feed on aristos either, imagine all the diseases they could catch from the debauched and degenerated blood. Syphilis is neither virtous nor erotic, is it, Mirabeau?

Aw, I'm sure Robespierre at least would appreciate the sparkles... he may be the only one to, as well. :DDD

But Collot with sparkles -- now that's a funny thing to imagine.

Yes. Ew. :/ At least they didn't have AIDS, but syphilis = not pretty. D:

Hahaha...sparkling Jacobins are beyond my imagination. Though Collot must have used sparling material when he was an actor...Anyway, I can't see Lindet or Jean Bon Saint-André sparkling, though...Or Carnot, hahaha...

Well, that's threatening. The Prussians would run away just looking at him, no need of infantry nor cannons...

Now I wish I was any good with image editing programs to apply a sparkle tutorial on British!Carnot.
